    I brought my wife's 2019 Atlas in for an oil change and check the rear heat taking a bit longer to heat compared to the front. Even tho I turned on the notifications for this oil change i received no messages when my car was ready or progress. After about a couple of hours i tried calling but there was answer i tried again by calling the main number and I sat on hold for around 10 mins before someone picked up. I was right around the corner so I stopped by and found our vehicle sitting in the parking area he told me on the phone (while i was looking at my truck) that our vehicle was still inside with the tech and that he would contact me on my cell when it was ready. About an 1.5 hrs later we just headed back to the dealership and the vehicle was still parked in the exact same spot. I walked in and waited about 10 mins for one of the gentleman in service to help us. I asked what was going on and they said the it was my rear heater core that was bad looking at a little over $700. to fix. I dropped this off @ 11:15am with no and with response or notifications from the dealer it was ready at 4:30pm. So 5 hours for an oil change and tell me i needed a new heater core. When I asked if a flush could clear this issue they said it may or may not. It would have been nice to have gotten a message from the service person to give me the option to try the flush while I was already there for 5 hours. Now I have to come all the way back down here (North Windham)to have the flush done. Makes no sense at all. I normally go to the Valenti in Mystic I have been going to them for a year or so and I will be going back there. The service dept. in Old Saybrook needs to take lessons from Mystic service dept., they area so much better.

    My last experience with the dealership was disappointing. I made an appointment with them to repair a recall part and to have my car serviced at the 50,000 miles mark. After making the appointment almost 2 weeks in advance, clearing my work schedule, and dropping off the car, I received a phone call from them that the part was given away to another customer who came in earlier in the week and now they didn’t have the part for me. I rescheduled the appointment for the following week to have the recall part replaced but they kept my car for that day so they can do the 50,000 miles service but instead they only did an oil change.

    I received a notice from VW Corporate, stating that my 2018 Beetle Convertible, has a Safety Recall (69GQ) for Driver Frontal Airbag Inflator. I called VW of Old Saybrook, spoke to David Lawrence, and made an appointment that was suitable for me. He was more than happy to accommodate my request. We brought in my car, and in no-time, the issue was resolved! We are always very comfortable and satisfied with any work done here!
